When I was a kid, I remembering asking my Mom what should wanted for Mother's Day I would receive one of two responses, "Just for you and your sisters to be happy" or, "I have everything I need." It resulted in frustration for many years because it was important to me to make sure that she loved her gift. As I grew older, I realized that her responses were genuine and they weren't to make things difficult for me in choosing a gift for her.

When she said that all she wanted was for my sisters and I to be happy, she meant that. As long as we were happy, healthy, and safe, she had what she needed. That is the love and selflessness of a Mom. They put everyone else's needs before their own.
